Lekker GEC is a member of the Ghent Ecological Centre (GEC). Ecological thinking and acting are therefore central. This is reflected not only in the organic, plant-based meals we offer, but also in the interior design, the choice of lighting, our approach to water consumption, and our choice of materials and products. With our "Weigh What You Eat" concept, you only pay for what you eat. This way, together we reduce the mountain of food waste. Those who also wish to avoid as much waste as possible can pick up food and drinks in their own packaging. Lekker GEC cooks entirely with organic ingredients. Our beverage selection is also largely organic; if it is not organic, it is Fairtrade. For our Fairtrade products, we collaborate with the Oxfam World Shop, with whom we also share the space. In this way, we help make a smooth (and logical) transition to an organic and Fairtrade ecology and economy. Lekker GEC works with local farmers and suppliers and also focuses on short supply chains and seasonal ingredients.
